A greenstone celt. First the stone is roughly knapped to shape with block on block and wooden billets. Then the finish preforming is down with pecking, followed by grinding to finish the bit. The handle was chopped to shape with the bit, and the hole was worked in with fire and stone tools after starting it with a chisel.
